The Nepean Ancient and Mediaeval Re-enactment Society started in 1990 or 91 and were fairly much a collectivist reforming of an earlier group from 1989 called the Baconeers. They were a broad period group covering 600BC to AD 1660. They were renowned for their banquets and played well with other groups, providing numbers for shows with The Pike and Musket Society and Thor’s Hammer (later Mayhem!).
