Nuntius was the newsletter of the Tasmanian Viking Society. Visually appealing with illuminated borders and drop capitals, the articles were generally of high quality. The thing I remember most was a series of letters between Stephen Hande and myself spanning the better part of a year’s issues arguing about the accuracy of the food at the upcoming Glenfield Conferention (see the first half of 1991). It was only when we met that we found both of us had been exaggerating our claims somewhat in different ways and had really been arguing the same point as each other all along.
They also has an annual magazine, The Chronicle, which was a top shelf production, as far as re-enactment magazines of the 1980s go. I’ve interspersed them as appropriate
